The immigration office of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau have said that people contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative will be given favorable treatment.
Chinese citizens participating in Belt and Road projects can apply for expedited processing of their immigration documents, the bureau said.
Foreigners involved in key Belt and Road projects and cooperation, with evidentiary materials produced by the Chinese side, can apply for Chinese visas directly at Beijing airport. The processing of residence permits for them, their spouses and children can also be shortened.
