Inner Mongolia sees surging trade in comprehensive bonded area

The trade of Manzhouli comprehensive bonded area in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from January to July increased by 47.5 times year on year, according to local customs.

The trade volume in the area reached 100 million yuan (14.22 million U.S. dollars) in the period, while the customs handled 13,600 tonnes of cargo, increasing by 21.2 times year on year.

Automobiles, excavators and ore are major trade items in the area, according to the customs.

Covering 1.44 square km, the area lies in the border city of Manzhouli. As the first comprehensive bonded area in Inner Mongolia, it was put into operation in 2016 with a series of favorable polices in tax, foreign exchange management and other areas.
