China Gezhouba Group Investment Holding Co., Ltd. (CGGC) and Indonesia's PT. Lentera Damar Amerta recently signed an EPC contract for a 300MW hydropower station project in Indonesia.

Located in Central Sulawesi Province in Indonesia, the power station is designed with 300 MW installed capacity and an annual average generating capacity of 16 billion kwh.

The project mainly includes a barrage, water diversion system, switch station and houses for power generating.

The project is expected to greatly alleviate local power shortage, provide a large number of job opportunities for the local area and train a group of workers.

In recent years, CGGC has successively built a number of national strategic projects in Indonesia under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative, such as Asahan I hydropower station, Takalar coal-fired power station and the Parit Paru coal-fired power station.
