RIYADH, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabian Finance Ministry announced on Sunday that the total revenues for the second quarter of this fiscal year increased by six percent year on year, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The revenues in the second quarter have reached 43.66 billion U.S. dollars, among which non-oil revenues accounted for 16.77 billion U.S. dollars, according to the report.
Oil revenues in the same period amounted to 26.89 billion U.S. dollars with a growth of 28 percent compared to the year before, driven by the rising oil prices in international markets.
The total expenditures amounted to 56.08 billion U.S. dollars with a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to the previous year.
The expenditures in the second quarter accounted for around 23 percent of the annual budget, while the deficit was 12.4 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 20 percent.
The public debt has increased from 84.38 billion U.S. dollars to 90.99 billion U.S. dollars, motivated by the successful sukuk issuances.
