TOKYO, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands around the 106 yen line in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 105.98-106.02 yen, compared with 106.07-17 yen in New York and 105.73-75 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1100-1102 dollars and 117.65-66 yen against 1.1094-1104 dollars and 117.74-84 yen in New York, and 1.1120-1124 dollars and 117.58-62 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
