A parallel session of the 2017 Silk Road International Exposition and 21st Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China opened at the Xi'an International Trade & Logistics (ITL) Park on June 3.
The session offered 11 exhibition pavilions, covering a total area of 100,000 square meters, and featuring international foods, an auto exhibition, a cross-border commodities expo and intelligent home furnishings. Over 80,000 visitors attended the opening day.
Wang Jinzhen, vice president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said, "The expo and exhibitions featuring Silk Road commodities build a bridge for trade and economic exchanges between China and countries along the Belt and Road."
A series of activities were held during the Silk Road Expo from June 3 to 7, including Silk Road Culture and Art Festival, International Food festival, and Silk Road Intelligent Hardware & Machinery Exhibition.
