Lao Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith will visit Manila on Thursday, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
The two-day visit of the Lao foreign minister will commence following the inaugural Philippines-Laos Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) meeting.
"The two sides are expected to discuss various aspects of their bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual concern," the DFA said.
The visit is also part of Saleumxay Kommasith's round of visits to ASEAN capitals upon his assumption to office last year.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
