CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co's plant in the U.S. state of Massachusetts is expected to begin operations in 2018, the Beijing Daily reported on Sunday.
Several U.S. engineers came to the State-owned trainmaker months ago for three months of training. In the U.S., they will train other employees in the company's Springfield plant to secure the smooth production of the factory in 2018, the report said.
On October 16, the first batch of subway trains, which were designed and produced by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co for the Boston subway's new Orange Line, rolled off the production line.
