TOKYO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-106 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.57-58 yen compared with 106.59-69 yen in New York and 106.40-41 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1081-1083 dollars and 118.10-14 yen against 1.1073-1083 dollars and 118.09-19 yen in New York and 1.1103-1104 dollars and 118.14-18 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
