SINGAPORE, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.06 percent, or 2.04 points, to close at 3,163.28.
A total of 1.13 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.04 billion Singapore dollars (about 752.04 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 215 to 153.
The STI index went down 0.17 percent, or 5.45 points, to close at 3,165.32 on Tuesday.
