Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday urged the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to boost missile program of the country.
"Work on missiles as much as you can," Khamenei said in a meeting with the IRGC commanders, according to the leader's official website.
"You can see how much the enemy is vigilant about (Iran's) missiles, therefore, you should know that your work (on missiles) is very important," he said.
Khamenei also hailed as the "worship" the recent missile launch of IRGC on the Islamic State (IS) positions in Syria's Deir al-Zour.
IRGC announced on June 18 that its aerospace units had targeted the IS command centers in Syria's Deir al-Zour with its missiles, aiming to punish the "Takfiri terrorists" for their recent twin attacks in Iran's capital Tehran in which 17 Iranians were killed.
