MADRID, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Spanish share values began the week on a positive note as they rose by 0.73 percent on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 opening at 8,670.40 points and closing at 8,733.30 points.
The day's best results were for telecommunications company Masmovil Ibercom, with a 6.45 percent rise in share values. The shares in cellulose and renewable energy producer ENCE Energia y Celulosa went up by 3.88 percent, while share prices in steel producer Arcelormittal climbed by 3.46 percent.
The three worst performing companies were all savings banks, with shares in BBVA falling by 2.22 percent, while those in Bankinter and Caixabank went down by 1.65 percent and 1.29 percent respectively. Enditem
