SINGAPORE, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) wend down 0.46 percent or 16.55 points to close at 3,568.01.
A total of 2.02 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.30 billion Singapore dollars (about 978.73 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 307 to 126.
The STI index closed up 0.14 percent or 5.02 points to close at 3584.56 on Tuesday.
