Belarus received the fifth tranche of a financial loan from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD), Belarusian foreign ministry said Wednesday.
The funds of the fifth tranche of the loan in the amount of 200 million U.S. dollars was transferred to Belarus' budget on October 25, the ministry said.
In Mid-October, the Council of the EFSD decided to grant Belarus the fifth tranche of the financial loan if the republic fulfills a number of conditions.
In order to receive the fifth tranche, Belarus needed to accept the presidential decree on transferring of at least 20 state-owned enterprises of the republican subordination to the communal ownership.
In addition, the Belarusian authorities should agree to include the adoption of the law "On Insolvency or Bankruptcy" as a benchmark indicator in the terms of the seventh tranche.
Belarus signed an agreement for receiving 2 billion U.S. dollars loan from the EFSD in March, 2016. The loan must be granted in seven tranches during the 2016-2018 period.
Until now, Belarus has already received five tranches, totally 1.6 billion U.S. dollars.
