FRANKFURT, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 152.63 points, or 1.32 percent, to close at 11,715.37 points.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.79 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and Deutsche Bank gained by 2.86 percent and 2.69 percent respectively.
Housing association Vonovia lost the most among the blue chips, falling 0.49 percent. Energy group RWE went down by 0.08 percent.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 245.8 million euros (272.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
