TOKYO, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, marginally lower than its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.34-35 yen compared with 109.58-68 yen in New York and 109.74-75 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1130-1130 dollars and 121.70-74 yen against 1.1124-1134 dollars and 121.96-122.06 yen in New York and 1.1131-1133 dollars and 122.15-19 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
