World-renownedorchestrasandtroupes,suchastheIndianBollywoodSingingandDancingGroup,CanadianBrassandtheLithuanianChamberOrchestra,willperformthemedconcertsoverthefollowingthreeweeks.
XavierdeMaistre,aFrenchmusician,willhostasoloharpconcertatShenzhenConcertHallonApril8,whileAdamKosmieja,awell-knownpianistfromPoland,willholdhissoloconcertattheShenzhenGrandTheateronApril14.
Chinesemusicwillalsoplayanimportantroleintheconcertseries,withtheHongKongChineseOrchestraholdingaconcertatShenzhenConcertHallonMarch28.TheChinaNationalSymphonyOrchestrawillperformatShenzhenConcertHallonApril16.
ThisconcertseriesisapartoftheShenzhenBeltandRoadInternationalMusicFestival.
"Thefestivalisaimedatenhancingcommunicationandfriendshipamong64countriesalongtheBeltandRoadbythebridgeofmusic,"saidZhangHeyun,headofthecity'sculture,sportsandtourismadministration.
AccordingtoZhang,alloftheperformerstakingpartinthefestivalarefromBeltandRoadcountries,andtheirperformanceswillbecloselyconnectedtothehistoryandcultureoftheSilkRoad.
Thelowestticketpricesforthe16concertswillrangefrom50yuan($7.4)to80yuan,whilethehighestpriceswillbelessthan1,000yuan.Alloftheconcertswillhaveatleast50percentoftheticketspricedlowerthan180yuan.Thelowticketpricesarearesultofgovernmentsubsidiesaimedatencouragingpublicparticipation.
