FRANKFURT, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 14.50 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 11,953.78 points.
Energy group RWE won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.67 percent. Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and reinsurance company Munich Re rose by 2.58 percent and 1.19 percent respectively..
Material manufacturer Covestro lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.38 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer went down by 0.98 percent and 0.92 percent respectively.
RWE was the most-traded share with a turnover of 122.6 million euros (134.4 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
