CANADA-VANCOUVER-CONCRETE WALL

A person watches a video showing the concrete wall tested with an earthquake simulator at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. Oct. 10, 2017. A new seismic-resistant, fibre-reinforced concrete was developed at the UBC. Researchers coated the concrete wall with a 10 millimetre-thick layer of EDCC (eco-friendly ductile cementitious composite), which is sufficient to reinforce most interior walls against seismic shocks.
