Central bank of Indonesian, Bank Indonesia, has forecast the country's economy to grow 5.3 to 5.7 percent in 2019, a senior official of the lender said Thursday.
That compares with this year's projection of 5.2 percent and 5.4 percent respectively for this year and next year.
"Acceleration of growth will be faster in 2019, when productivity of investment and affect of construction of infrastructure facilities will significantly rise," deputy governor of Bank Indonesia Ferry Warjiyo said.
The deputy governor said that the country's economic recovery has accelerated at a faster pace now along with stability.
Inflation has been in check, below 4 percent in August along with narrower current account performance, said Warjiyo.
The Southeast Asia's biggest economy may also expand 6 percent after 2019, he added.
The central bank launched economic stimulus on Tuesday to spur economic growth as inflation gave rooms for the policy.
