Eurozone inflation estimated at 1.1 pct in July

BRUSSELS, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The 19-member eurozone inflation is expected to be 1.1 percent in July 2019, down from 1.3 percent in June, the European Union's statistical office Eurostat revealed in a flash estimate on Wednesday.

Food, alcohol & tobacco are expected to have the highest annual rate in July (2.0 percent, compared with 1.6 percent in June), followed by services (1.2 percent, 1.6 percent in June), energy (0.6 percent, 1.7 percent in June) and non-energy industrial goods (0.4 percent, 0.3 percent in June).

The euro area consists of Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland.
