150 Great Wall Haval H6 SUVs were loaded onto a China-Europe freight train several days ago in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province and a famous automobile industry base in China.
These vehicles will reach Vorotynsk in Russia after a ten-day journey via Manzhouli Port in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
In the past, the company would transport its cars through Tianjin Port by sea to Vladivostok in Russia, and then transfer the vehicles to different destinations by road, consuming more time at higher cost.
The Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe international freight train service began its trial operation in August 2015, travelling around 9,800 kilometers on a one-way trip taking only 14 days, 20 days less than the sea route.
The freight train route began to transport complete vehicles in April 2017. So far, 840 complete vehicles at the worth of over 60 million yuan have been exported via the freight train route.
More cites in Northeast China have begun to tap the complete-vehicle export market. In June, a freight train carrying 123 China-made Volvo cars departed from Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province for Zeebrugge Port in Belgium, with a one-way trip taking 18 days, which is 20 days less than maritime transport.
