Zambian businesses urged to attend Chinese trade fairs for exposure

KITWE, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Zambian business community should attend Chinese trade fairs to learn innovation in world trade that will improve their businesses in the country and beyond, an industry group said on Wednesday.

Kitwe Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Anthony Kabaghe said attending trade expos is the way small scale businesses can improve on their business innovation and success.

Kabaghe singled out the Chinese Canton Fair as having been beneficial to Zambia, Africa and the world at large.

Kabaghe, who has been attending Canton fair in China for a decade, said he has been learning new things each time he attended the fair.

"Every year, I go to China for the fair, I find solutions at the exhibition," he said.

On Canton fair, he said thousands of exhibitors from around the world attend the fair and that it is important for Zambian small scale businesses and the chamber's corporate partners to attend the fair to become more innovative in doing business.

The Chamber president said there is need for Zambians to learn the work culture of Chinese as they are highly productive people.
