TOKYO, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Tuesday, following a rout a day earlier, as concerns abated somewhat over trade issues, which lifted market sentiment.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 184.39 points, or 0.91 percent, from Monday to 20,445.43.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 13.07 points, or 0.88 percent, at 1,491.10.
All industry categories on the main section advanced into positive territory, with rubber product, marine transportation and transportation equipment-linked issues comprising those that advanced the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
