BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The overnight Shanghai Interbank Offered Rate (Shibor), which measures the borrowing cost of China's interbank market, increased 27.1 basis points to 2.828 percent Tuesday.
The seven-day Shibor gained 4.6 basis points to 2.7 percent, and the two-week rate was up 1.9 basis points to 2.915 percent.
The one-month Shibor increased 3.3 basis points to 2.824 percent, with the three-month rate up 1.1 basis points to 2.833 percent, and the six-month rate up 1.3 basis points to stand at 2.885 percent.
The nine-month rate went up 0.8 basis points to 2.982 percent, and the one-year rate was up 0.5 basis points to 3.106 percent.
Shibor is a simple, no-guarantee, wholesale interest rate calculated by arithmetically averaging all the interbank RMB lending rates offered by the price quotation group of 18 commercial banks with a high credit rating, with the four highest and four lowest quotations excluded.
