DALIAN, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Iron ore futures closed higher on Friday at the Dalian Commodity Exchange(DCE).
The most active iron ore contract for May delivery gained 21.5 yuan (about 3.19 U.S. dollars) to close at 631.5 yuan per tonne.
On Friday, the total trading volume of nine listed iron ore futures contracts on the exchange was 2,765,244 lots with a turnover of 167.38 billion yuan.
As the world's largest importer of iron ore, China opened the DCE iron ore futures to overseas investors in May 2018.
