Nur Bekri, former head of the National Energy Administration, has been arrested for taking bribes, said the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Tuesday, Xinhua reported.
Nur Bekri, also former deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, was investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
The former chairman of the Xinjiang regional government was named new head of the National Energy Administration on Dec 31, 2014.
