Gansu's Dunhuang sees surge in tourism thanks to Belt and Road Initiative

Dunhuang, located in Northwest China's Gansu province, has seen robust growth in tourism boosted by the Belt and Road Initiative.

The city received 1.13 million tourists in the first quarter, up 20 percent from the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached 1.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.5 percent.
