BEIJING, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese top legislator Li Zhanshu has thanked journalists covering the annual session of the national legislature.
Li, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), praised reporters for their outstanding and innovative coverage of the second session of the 13th NPC while greeting journalists from major state media at the Great Hall of the People on Thursday.
Li visited the news center set up by the Xinhua News Agency, watching integrated media products and those featuring artificial intelligence technology.
He also talked with journalists from other state media outlets including the People's Daily, China Media Group and China Daily.
Li called on the journalists to continue working hard to tell China's stories well, tell the NPC stories well and demonstrate the superiority, features and efficiency of the country's fundamental political system.
The session was held from March 5 to 15.
