China's foreign trade of goods up 6.5% in April

China's foreign trade of goods up 6.5 percent year-on-year in April to 2.51 trillion yuan, the General Administration of Customs said on Wednesday.

The country's exports grew by 3.1 percent year-on-year to 1.3 trillion yuan in April, while its imports rose to 1.21 trillion yuan, jumping by 10.3 percent from same period a year earlier.

China's foreign trade of goods climbed 4.3 percent year-on-year in the first four months of this year to 9.51 trillion yuan, customs data showed.

Exports increased by 5.7 percent year-on-year to 5.06 trillion yuan during this period, while imports went up by 2.9 percent to 4.45 trillion yuan, the General Administration of Customs said.
