DUBAI, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Emirate of Abu Dhabi increased by 12.9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018 against the same period of 2017, Statistics Center of Abu Dhabi (SCAD) said on Tuesday.
The GDP of 2018 at current prices grew by 14.5 percent to 931.2 billion dirhams (253.6 billion U.S. dollars) from 813.6 billion in 2017, SCAD was quoted by Emirates News Agency (WAM) as saying.
The increase in economic activity could be attributed to the value added by oil activity, it said.
Compared with the third quarter last year, the value added by oil activities increased by 3.2 percent, while non-oil activities recorded an increase of 1.2 percent in the fourth quarter last year.
