China's major stock indices post strong gains on Monday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 5.6 percent to close at 2,961.28 points. The Shenzhen Component Index ended at 9,134.58 points, an increase of 5.59 percent.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, jumped 5.5 percent to close at 1536.37 points.
The daily turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets broke through 1 trillion yuan.
