Chinese stocks plummeted on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.43 percent and closing at 3,123.83 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index decreased 3.21 percent, dropping to 9,907.62 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lowered 2.84 percent reaching 1,669.98 points at close.
