Eco Forum Global 2017 will take place in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on June 17-18, according to the press conference held on June 6.
Held four times since 2013, the annual conference aims to engage leaders in business, politics, academia and other areas to discuss concerns in ecology and the environment
Some 400 officials, scholars and experts will take part in this year's event to exchange ideas on topics including forest protection, food security, green campuses and global climate management.
Forum guests will attend different meetings, and visit local companies and organizations to learn of the ecological achievements that have been made in Guizhou.
The forum is expected to encourage Guizhou province to use ecological resources effectively and strengthen ecological education.
Guizhou was listed among the first collection of national ecological civilization pilot zones in 2016. Additionally, this year's June 18 will mark the province's first "Guizhou Ecology Day".
